Fate/Grand Order Card Game

Fate/Grand Order Card Game (Fate/Grand Order カードゲーム) is a broad collector term covering several official Japanese physical-card products based on TYPE-MOON’s Fate/Grand Order mobile RPG. It is not the name of one unified Trading Card Game; instead, the collection includes Fate/Grand Order Arcade cards, Fate/Grand Order Duel figure-and-card sets, Lycee Overture booster products, and Weiß Schwarz expansions based on FGO anime adaptations. Each product line uses its own rules, card backs, rarity system, and deck format, so cards from different systems cannot normally be combined in the same game.

These Japanese card products feature Servants, Masters, Craft Essences, Command Cards, Noble Phantasms, Singularities, Lostbelts, anime scenes, seasonal costumes, and original illustrations connected to the wider Fate universe. Collectors can choose between playable TCG cards, arcade-compatible physical cards, premium foil parallels, stamped-signature designs, promotional cards, and miniature figure sets. Prices vary according to the specific card system, character, rarity, Fatal or foil treatment, product age, condition, distribution method, and release status.

Popular Fate/Grand Order Card Game product types

Because this collection covers several independent game systems, buyers should identify the exact product line before purchasing:

  • Fate/Grand Order Arcade Servant Cards: Physical cards printed through Japanese FGO Arcade cabinets. Each card represents a playable Servant and may show the character’s class, rarity, Saint Graph artwork, ascension stage, statistics, and other identifying information.
  • Fate/Grand Order Arcade Craft Essence Cards: Equipment-style cards scanned alongside Servant Cards. Craft Essences increase HP or ATK and provide additional abilities when assigned to a Servant in the arcade game.
  • Fatal Cards: Holographic versions of FGO Arcade Servant or Craft Essence Cards issued randomly during card printing. Fatal Cards also provide additional HP and ATK benefits when scanned into a playable arcade formation.
  • Ascension-Stage Cards: Servants may appear in multiple physical designs corresponding to their different ascension or visual stages. The artwork and Fatal hologram pattern can differ according to the stage shown.
  • Arcade-Exclusive Craft Essences: Selected cards use original designs, 3DCG character imagery, anniversary artwork, Bond Craft Essence concepts, Noble Phantasm scenes, or campaign illustrations created specifically for FGO Arcade.
  • Fate/Grand Order Duel Sets: Randomized products containing one mini Servant figure together with Command, Status, and Skill Cards. The figures are moved across a printed map while the cards determine combat and special abilities.
  • FGO Duel Command Cards: Each Servant uses five Command Cards based on Quick, Arts, and Buster attacks. Three Servants form a combined 15-card Command Deck during play.
  • FGO Duel Status Cards: Cards identifying the Servant’s class, cost, rarity, Servant ID, and Command Card configuration.
  • FGO Duel Skill Cards: Advanced-rule cards representing the Servant’s abilities. Later retail waves include three Skill Cards with each miniature figure.
  • Lycee Overture FGO Booster Packs: Eight-card Japanese booster packs featuring Fate/Grand Order characters within the Lycee Overture TCG system. Cards include Characters, Events, Items, Starter cards, foil parallels, and stamped-signature variants.
  • Lycee Overture FGO Booster Boxes: Boxes containing 20 randomized booster packs. Product bonuses may include promotional cards, campaign items, sleeves, or carton-level playmats depending on the release.
  • Lycee Overture FGO Starter Decks: Fixed 60-card constructed decks designed for players entering Lycee through Fate/Grand Order. Separate decks accompanied FGO versions 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0.
  • Weiß Schwarz FGO Booster Packs: Playable Character, Event, and Climax Cards based primarily on the FGO anime projects Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia and Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot.
  • Weiß Schwarz FGO Trial Decks: Ready-to-play 50-card decks designed for the Weiß Schwarz system. Trial Deck+ Babylonia includes Mash, Gilgamesh, Ishtar, Kingu, Merlin, Ana, and other characters from the anime.
  • Foil-Stamped Signature Cards: Premium Lycee and Weiß Schwarz parallels may use reproduced signatures from Japanese voice actors or creators. These are printed or foil-stamped designs and should not be described as personally hand-signed cards.
  • Promotional Cards: FGO cards distributed through arcade campaigns, anniversaries, tournaments, prerelease events, box bonuses, magazines, exhibitions, store promotions, and official product campaigns.
  • Single Cards: Individual Servant, Craft Essence, Fatal, Lycee, Weiß Schwarz, promo, or parallel cards allow collectors to target a specific character or design without purchasing another sealed product.
  • Official Card Accessories: Japanese sleeves, deck cases, binders, storage boxes, playmats, acrylic frames, card holders, and other supplies feature Servants and artwork from Fate/Grand Order.

Fate/Grand Order Arcade cards

Fate/Grand Order Arcade is the largest source of official physical FGO cards created specifically for use with a dedicated game system:

  • Japanese Arcade Launch: Fate/Grand Order Arcade began operation in Japan on July 26, 2018 as a three-versus-three Heroic Spirit summoning team battle game.
  • Physical Card Printing: Summoned Servants and Craft Essences can be printed as physical cards measuring approximately 54 × 86 mm.
  • Servant Formations: Players scan Servant Cards and Craft Essences into the arcade cabinet to form a party. Up to three Servants can be selected for a standard formation.
  • Multiple Servant Copies: Scanning multiple cards of the same Servant can strengthen Noble Phantasm-related performance within the limits unlocked on the player’s account.
  • Multiple Craft Essence Copies: Several copies of the same Craft Essence can be equipped together. Five copies can activate the card’s maximum-limit-break effect when supported by the game.
  • Fatal Gameplay Effects: Fatal Cards are not only visual parallels. Scanning them can increase the relevant Servant or Craft Essence HP and ATK bonuses.
  • Arcade-Original Designs: The card lineup includes physical designs based on mobile-game artwork as well as anniversary cards, original Craft Essences, arcade-exclusive Servants, campaign cards, Bond-related artwork, and 3DCG designs.
  • Completed Servant Lineup: The development team announced in May 2023 that the addition of new Servants had concluded with a total lineup of 120 implemented Servants.
  • Current Operating Structure: Beginning in April 2024, the game moved from limited-time event development to permanent content and recurring updates. Grail War, Grand Order, Chaldea Gate, Extra Interlude, summoning, shops, and card printing remained available under this structure.
  • Japanese Arcade Requirement: Cards can be collected and displayed internationally, but their full gameplay functions require a compatible Fate/Grand Order Arcade cabinet and player account.

Fate/Grand Order Duel featured series

Fate/Grand Order Duel -collection figure- is not a traditional Trading Card Game. It is a Heroic Spirit summoning board game combining miniature figures with fixed card components:

  • First Wave: Released in August 2018 with Servants including Artoria Pendragon, Gilgamesh, Scáthach, Queen Medb, Merlin, First Hassan, Cú Chulainn Alter, and Mash Kyrielight.
  • Second Wave: Added Jeanne d’Arc, Karna, Euryale, Gilles de Rais, and Asterios.
  • Third Wave: Released on November 7, 2018 with Jeanne d’Arc Alter, Arjuna, Stheno, Medusa, and Gilles de Rais in his Saber class.
  • Fourth Wave: Released in January 2019 with Ozymandias, Nitocris, Nero Claudius, Ushiwakamaru, and Musashibou Benkei.
  • Later Waves: The lineup expanded with Arthur Pendragon, Cleopatra, Nero Bride, Okita Souji, Oda Nobunaga, Hijikata Toshizo, Minamoto-no-Raikou, Artoria Alter, and other Servants.
  • Ninth Wave: Released on December 18, 2019 with seasonal Servants including Artoria Pendragon Santa Alter, Jeanne d’Arc Alter Santa Lily, Altera the San〔ta〕, Nursery Rhyme, and Darius III.
  • Tenth Wave: Gilgamesh, Enkidu, Ishtar, Ereshkigal, and Quetzalcoatl were officially announced for a tenth wave planned for winter 2020. However, the official page does not provide a confirmed retail release date, so these products should not be described as released without further evidence.

Each standard FGO Duel product has an official listed price of ¥1,222 and contains one random miniature figure, five Command Cards, one Status Card, and three Skill Cards in later waves.

How Fate/Grand Order Duel is played

  • Three-Servant Party: Each player selects three Servants whose total cost is normally 11 or less.
  • Miniature Map Movement: Servant figures move through connected areas on the game map. Entering an area occupied by an opposing Servant initiates combat.
  • Fifteen-Card Command Deck: The five Command Cards belonging to each of the three Servants are shuffled together into one 15-card deck.
  • Three-Card Combat: Each player chooses three Command Cards during battle. Their power and Quick, Arts, or Buster combinations determine combat results and possible Chains.
  • Skill Cards: Advanced rules allow Servants to activate Skill Cards by meeting the required conditions or paying NP-related costs.
  • Master Area: Players maneuver their Servants across the board and attempt to defeat opposing units or reach the enemy Master’s position according to the selected rules.

Lycee Overture Fate/Grand Order featured sets

  • Lycee Overture Ver.Fate/Grand Order 1.0: Released on February 24, 2017 as the first product in the modern Lycee Overture line. The booster contains 106 standard card types plus parallel holographic cards and was released alongside a 60-card Starter Deck.
  • FGO 1.0 Characters: The card pool includes Mash Kyrielight, Artoria Pendragon, Artoria Lily, Kiyohime, Elizabeth Báthory, Cú Chulainn, and other early Fate/Grand Order Servants and Masters.
  • Lycee Overture Ver.Fate/Grand Order 2.0: Released on October 27, 2017 with another booster and Starter Deck. The set introduced the Order Change ability and additional FGO-only deck support.
  • FGO 2.0 Characters: The expansion includes Servants and story elements from later Singularities, seasonal events, and Epic of Remnant content.
  • Lycee Overture Ver.Fate/Grand Order 3.0: Released on December 14, 2018 with a new booster and constructed deck. It introduced the Guts basic ability based on the revival mechanic used by Servants in FGO.
  • Special Rare Cards: Selected SP cards use alternate artwork and foil-stamped reproductions of cast signatures.
  • Original Card Illustrations: Lycee products include illustrations by numerous Japanese artists rather than relying exclusively on artwork from the mobile game.
  • Reservation and Box Bonuses: Japanese launch campaigns included sleeves, promotional cards, box bonuses, carton playmats, and points redeemable for official rewards.

Weiß Schwarz Fate/Grand Order featured sets

  • Trial Deck+ Fate/Grand Order -Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia-: Released in Japan on March 27, 2020. The product contains a fixed 50-card deck, two holographic cards, a quick manual, deck guide, and playmat.

  • Fate/Grand Order THE MOVIE Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot: Released in Japan on October 29, 2021. The booster focuses on Bedivere, Mash, the Lion King, Knights of the Round Table, Hassan characters, Ozymandias, Nitocris, and other film characters.
  • Weiß Schwarz Compatibility: FGO cards carrying the FGO product code belong to the Weiß Schwarz system. They cannot be used in Lycee Overture, FGO Duel, or FGO Arcade.
  • Separate Fate Titles: FGO Weiß Schwarz cards are not automatically Neo-Standard compatible with Fate/stay night, Fate/Zero, Fate/Apocrypha, or other Fate products unless the official rules specifically permit the combination.

Hot Fate/Grand Order tie-in cards & special releases

  • Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia: Weiß Schwarz products adapt the anime’s Uruk storyline, featuring Gilgamesh, Mash, Ishtar, Ereshkigal, Merlin, Kingu, Ana, Gorgon, and the Three Goddess Alliance.
  • Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot: Weiß Schwarz cards reproduce characters and scenes from the two-part theatrical film project centered on Bedivere and the Sixth Singularity.
  • FGO Arcade Original Servants: The arcade lineup includes characters, class versions, costumes, and designs that differ from or were introduced separately from the original mobile game.
  • Anniversary Craft Essences: Physical Arcade cards have used official anniversary illustrations, travel artwork, commemorative portraits, 3DCG imagery, and other campaign designs.
  • Heroic Portrait and Travel Cards: Campaigns have produced large collections of Craft Essences showing Servants in regional Japanese locations, formal portraits, seasonal outfits, and commemorative settings.
  • Bond and Noble Phantasm Craft Essences: FGO Arcade includes original collectible designs based on a Servant’s Bond level or Noble Phantasm animation.
  • Seasonal Servants: Summer, Christmas, Halloween, New Year, Valentine’s Day, and other event forms appear across Arcade cards, Duel figures, Lycee cards, and promotional products.
  • Voice Actor Signature Designs: Lycee and Weiß Schwarz premium cards may include foil-stamped reproductions of signatures from performers such as Rie Takahashi, Ayako Kawasumi, Tomokazu Seki, Kana Ueda, and other cast members.
  • Original Artist Cards: Licensed card sets may commission Japanese illustrators to create new interpretations of Servants and Masters specifically for the physical card product.
  • Arcade Event Cards: Physical cards were distributed through Grail War events, anniversaries, login rewards, exchange tickets, ranking events, pickup summons, and special card-printing campaigns.
  • Shop and Tournament Promos: Lycee and Weiß Schwarz events provide participation, winner, prerelease, box-bonus, and store-promotion cards outside the standard booster checklist.

Collectors should identify whether a card belongs to FGO Arcade, FGO Duel, Lycee Overture, Weiß Schwarz, or another licensed product. Similar artwork and character names do not mean that the cards share the same dimensions, card backs, rarity labels, rules, or gameplay compatibility.

Fate/Grand Order Card Game prices and rarity guide

There is no universal price or rarity system because the collection includes several independent product lines:

  • FGO Arcade Card Printing: Printing a summoned Servant or Craft Essence normally requires one arcade credit, equivalent to ¥100 at standard Japanese machines.
  • FGO Duel Sets: The official listed retail price is ¥1,222 per randomized miniature-and-card set.
  • Lycee Overture FGO Booster Packs: One eight-card pack has an official listed price of ¥363.
  • Lycee Overture FGO Booster Boxes: One box contains 20 packs, producing a total suggested retail value of ¥7,260.
  • Lycee Overture FGO Starter Decks: The constructed 60-card products were officially priced at ¥1,650.
  • Japanese Weiß Schwarz Babylonia Packs: One nine-card pack was officially priced at ¥400 plus tax.
  • Japanese Weiß Schwarz Babylonia Boxes: One 16-pack box was officially priced at ¥6,400 plus tax.
  • Japanese Weiß Schwarz Babylonia Trial Deck+: The fixed 50-card deck was officially priced at ¥1,500 plus tax.

FGO Arcade rarity and card treatments

  • ★1 and ★2 Servants or Craft Essences: Lower-rarity cards associated with accessible summons and Friend Point-style pools.
  • ★3 R: Rare cards used for a wide range of Servants and Craft Essences.
  • ★4 SR: Super Rare cards featuring higher-rarity Servants, Craft Essences, event cards, and premium campaign designs.
  • ★5 SSR: The highest normal star classification for many Servants and Craft Essences in the arcade system.
  • Fatal: Random holographic versions of ordinary physical cards. The Fatal pattern can vary according to the Servant’s ascension stage.
  • Limited Design Cards: Anniversary, campaign, event, costume, Bond, Noble Phantasm, and other alternate designs may use the same or similar gameplay identity while displaying different physical artwork.

Lycee Overture FGO rarity types

  • C — Common: Standard Character, Event, or Item Cards forming the basic set checklist.
  • U — Uncommon: Cards with lower inclusion frequency and more specialized effects.
  • R — Rare: Cards featuring more prominent characters or stronger deck effects.
  • SR — Super Rare: Higher-rarity cards using special foil or surface processing.
  • ST — Starter: Cards created specifically for the constructed Starter Deck products.
  • SP — Special: Premium parallels commonly featuring alternate artwork and foil-stamped cast signatures.
  • P — Promotional: Cards distributed through campaigns, tournaments, product bonuses, and other non-standard channels.

Weiß Schwarz FGO rarity types

  • C, U and R: Common, Uncommon, and Rare cards forming the main Character, Event, and Climax card pool.
  • RR: Double Rare cards featuring key characters or important gameplay effects.
  • SR: Super Rare parallel cards with enhanced artwork and foil processing.
  • RRR: Triple Rare premium treatments commonly used for Climax Cards or important scenes.
  • SP: Special parallel cards using premium designs and foil-stamped cast signatures.
  • SEC: Secret cards representing the highest announced rarity in selected FGO Weiß Schwarz boosters.
  • PR: Promotional cards distributed through Trial Decks, box bonuses, tournaments, campaigns, and events.

Individual FGO card values may be influenced by the Servant, character form, rarity, card system, Fatal or foil treatment, stamped signature, ascension artwork, competitive usefulness, event distribution, product age, card condition, grading, and collector demand. A Fatal, SP, SEC, discontinued, promotional, or signature-design card is not guaranteed to retain or increase its resale value. Prices may vary depending on product type, rarity, manufacturer, and release status.

Japanese vs English Fate/Grand Order cards

There is no single English-language edition corresponding to every Japanese product included under the Fate/Grand Order Card Game collection. Language availability depends on the specific system:

  • FGO Arcade: Physical Servant and Craft Essence Cards are produced for the Japanese arcade game and use Japanese names, information, and machine compatibility.
  • No English FGO Arcade Edition: An equivalent English arcade network and complete English physical-card catalog have not been released.
  • FGO Duel: The official retail products use Japanese Status and Skill Cards and were created for the Japanese market.
  • No Confirmed English FGO Duel Product Line: English fan translations may exist, but they should not be described as officially printed English retail editions.
  • Lycee Overture: The Fate/Grand Order 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 products belong to the Japanese Lycee Overture TCG. A complete official English Lycee Overture line has not been released.
  • Weiß Schwarz Japanese Edition: Japanese products include the Babylonia Trial Deck+, Babylonia Booster, and Camelot Booster.
  • Weiß Schwarz English Edition: Official English versions of Babylonia and Camelot were released on a separate international schedule.
  • Different Pack Configurations: Japanese and English Weiß Schwarz products may use different cards per pack, packs per box, promotional cards, release dates, or regional bonus items.
  • No Cross-System Compatibility: An English Weiß Schwarz FGO card cannot be used in Lycee Overture, FGO Duel, or Fate/Grand Order Arcade.
  • Original Japanese Presentation: Japanese cards preserve the original Servant names, class terminology, Noble Phantasm names, voice-cast branding, and domestic product packaging.
  • Japan-Market Promotions: Japanese arcade campaigns, Lycee events, Bushiroad tournaments, store bonuses, and anniversary products may provide cards unavailable through standard English retail channels.
  • Collector Recommendation: Japanese products are the strongest choice for collectors seeking the widest variety of official FGO physical cards, original packaging, Fatal treatments, domestic promotional cards, and Japan-exclusive game systems.

Collectors interested in original Japanese card designs, Fate/Grand Order Arcade Fatal cards, Japanese voice-cast parallels, FGO Duel miniatures, and domestic promotional products may prefer the Japanese releases. Players should first determine which system they intend to use, because FGO Arcade, FGO Duel, Lycee Overture, and Weiß Schwarz each have completely separate rules and product compatibility.

Japan Figure offers a curated selection of authentic Japanese Fate/Grand Order Card Game products sourced directly from Japan. Explore FGO Arcade Servant and Craft Essence Cards, Fatal parallels, Fate/Grand Order Duel figure sets, Lycee Overture booster boxes and Starter Decks, Weiß Schwarz cards, promotional releases, foil-stamped signature cards, singles, sleeves, and other collector products featuring Mash Kyrielight, Artoria Pendragon, Gilgamesh, Jeanne d’Arc, Ishtar, Ereshkigal, Merlin, and popular Servants from across Chaldea’s adventures. Shop Japanese Fate/Grand Order cards at Japan Figure and build a collection around your favorite Servants, classes, Singularities, and card systems.
