Prepare For The Second Season Of Arifureta: From Commonplace To World's Strongest Resumes This January 13

The popular anime, Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest is coming back for a second season starting on January 13th! 


The show announced two more cast members joining us during this arduous journey into adulthood: Katsuyuki Konishi ( Kamina in Gurenn Lagann ) and Makoto Ishii. Tokusatsu fan-favorite Katsuyuki Konishi stars in his latest role as Freid Bagwa, and Makoto Ishii will play Mikhail. Makoto Ishii takes over from Masaya Matsukata, who played Mikhail last time around when this hit series was still exclusive, premiering only digitally via Crunchyroll worldwide except Japan, where Funimation Entertainment licensed it instead (it later aired there).


Based on the light novel series written by Ryo Shirakome, the story follows a bullied high school kid named Hajime Nagumo. One day, his entire class was transported to a new world, and all of his classmates received magical abilities while he had only "ordinary" powers. Yet, despite this difference in power levels between him and his friends, some tasks required intelligence and ingenuity from him. Together, they must escape this new dungeon-dwelling place before it's too late for them or anything else around here.


With dual production by Studio asread and WHITE FOX, this original web novel series made waves with fans of its intense action. Now we'll be tuning in next year when studio Mother joins them on this exciting adventure through high school life (and other worlds).


To celebrate the release date for Arifureta's new season, they've released a poster showcasing many familiar and new faces we'll be seeing in action with this coming episodes.
