GAMBLING FORCE introduces the new Adversity ability, which becomes active when your Life falls to a specified level. Some cards can even reduce your own Life to activate these effects, creating a high-risk, high-reward playstyle unique to this set.

The booster also features an official collaboration with the manga Kaiji, bringing characters such as Kaiji, Tonegawa and Otsuki into Z/X. The Kaiji cards are designed primarily around red and green strategies that make use of the new Adversity mechanic.

Each sealed Japanese booster box contains 10 packs, with 5 cards randomly enclosed in each pack.

GAMBLING FORCE is built around a risk-versus-reward concept.

The new Adversity mechanic rewards players for operating at lower Life totals, and some cards can deliberately reduce Life to unlock stronger effects. This creates a very different pacing from standard Z/X play.

The Kaiji collaboration fits this theme directly, with Kaiji-related cards designed around the same high-risk style.
