Fujimi 700 Navy 1/700 Scale Light Cruiser Isuzu Plastic Model Kit

Fujimi 700 Navy fans will appreciate this 1/700 scale plastic model of the Imperial Japanese Navy light cruiser Isuzu, shown in her anti-aircraft escort configuration. The build uses 5-inch (12.7 cm) rapid-fire high-angle guns instead of the earlier 5.5-inch (14 cm) weapons. Only the PLUS release delivers precision rigging parts plus transparent searchlight and signal-light components for extra realism. Since it is a waterline-style kit, the lower hull is not included, so it sits nicely in dioramas. The finished miniature measures about 9.1 inches (232 mm) long. The model comes unpainted in gray plastic, and assembly with cement plus painting are required.

The Isuzu was the second Nagara-class light cruiser, and this kit faithfully reflects the alterations made during her antiaircraft refit, such as the deletion of the forward torpedo launcher and the installation of new crew rest quarters. A delicately carved linoleum pattern, machine gun ammunition lockers, and compact boat stands appear on deck; the bridge is split into separate compass deck, air defense command platform, and signal flag deck components. This unpainted plastic model kit requires assembly and painting. Carefully remove parts from the runners, clean the sprue connection points, and secure the pieces with plastic glue using the two included instruction booklets. After assembly, add model paints to complete the warship's appearance. The mostly gray molded parts allow you to paint as you progress, making the process more fun.

Store unused or partially built runners in their original box in a dry, cool area to prevent distortion. Once complete, keep the model away from dust and direct sunlight, as prolonged exposure may discolor the plastic.
