How OSICA Trading Card Game is played

• One Oshi and a 60-Card Deck: Each player chooses one Character Card as their Oshi Character and prepares a separate deck containing exactly 60 cards.
• Single-Title Construction: The Oshi Character and every card in the deck must belong to the same licensed anime or game work. Cards from unrelated OSICA titles cannot normally be mixed.
• Four-Copy Limit: The Oshi Character and deck combined may contain no more than four copies sharing the same card number or code. This means a deck may contain only three additional copies of the selected Oshi card.
• Heart-Based Victory: Players attack through character “Appeals” to take Hearts from the opponent. After the opponent reaches zero Hearts, taking another Heart wins the game.
• Deck-Out Victory: A player also wins immediately when the opponent’s deck reaches zero cards.
• Three Stage Positions: The Stage Area consists of Left, Center, and Right positions. Each position can normally hold one Character Card.
• Assist Area: Up to three Character or Support Cards may be placed in the Assist Area. Assist characters cannot Appeal or Guard but can provide abilities, Entry effects, and Yell symbols.
• Limit System: Stage characters have levels, and their combined level cannot exceed the player’s current Limit. The Limit normally increases during the Start Phase, allowing stronger formations as the game continues.
• Cost Area: Cards moved face down into the Cost Area provide resources used to play characters, supports, events, and abilities.
• Appeal Phase: Active Stage characters can Appeal one at a time. The opposing character directly in front of the attacker may Guard, or the opponent may allow the Appeal to reach their Hearts.
• AP Comparison: When a character Guards, AP values and card effects determine whether one of the characters is moved to the Drop Area.
• Limit Break: A player may place another copy of the same card over a character to perform a Limit Break for the turn. An appealing Limit-Broken character can take an additional Heart, while a Limit-Broken guard can reduce the number of Hearts taken.
• Yell Phase: Players reveal cards from the top of the deck according to the number of Yell symbols on their Stage and Assist cards. Revealed cards may be moved to the hand, Assist Area, or Cost Area according to the rules.
• Entry Abilities: Character and Support Cards with Entry text may activate when they enter the Stage or Assist Area through normal play or a Yell.
• Event Phase: Players can alternate playing Event Cards and Action abilities. Many events and Action effects may also be used during the opponent’s turn.
• Title-Specific Mechanics: Individual products may introduce keywords or rank systems designed to recreate the featured anime’s characters, powers, relationships, or story themes.
